Where does the name DGD Pottery come from?
Back in 2011, I launched a home décor and lifestyle blog called Dream Green DIY. My ceramics brand is named for that website as a way to pay homage to the content creation career that I've built for myself over the past fifteen years!
Where is your business located?
I make pottery in my home studio here in Waynesboro, Virginia. I glaze all of my pieces at our local community clay studio, Make Waynesboro. I hope to get my own kiln soon so that I can make everything in house!
Can I put your pottery in my dishwasher and microwave?
Yes, you can! All of the materials I use are non-toxic, lead-free, and safe for use in both the microwave and dishwasher. In fact, I actually encourage cleaning your pieces in the dishwasher for a totally sanitized clean. Just be gentle when loading and unloading them from your dishwasher's racks as the pieces are delicate/fragile.
Is DGD Pottery available in any local shops/galleries?
You can peruse and purchase my ceramics in person at Darling x Dashing in Charlottesville, Rusticae in downtown Waynesboro, and Glass Hollow Studio & Gallery in Afton, Virginia.
How often do you add new items to this shop?
As a 1-woman small business owner, it's simply not possible to have limitless work available...Keep an eye on the scrolling banner at the top of my home page for the date of my next shop update. I try to have new items ready to ship every couple of months.
Do you do custom pottery orders?
Sure! I'd love to hear more about your ceramics needs! If you don't see what you're looking for in my core collection, send me a message via the "Contact" form linked at the top of my website, and we can work together to bring your idea to life. Please note, though, that all custom orders need to at least generally match my aesthetic so that it feels like a natural fit for me as an artist! Allow 6-8 weeks for all custom orders from date of purchase.
Where can I get the most up-to-date information about collection updates and in-person shopping opportunities?

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, all orders automatically ship for free!
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes! Just choose local pickup at checkout. This will allow you to pick your piece up in person off my porch here in Waynesboro, Virginia. You'll be sent an email with detailed instructions for pickup, including the date/time your piece(s) will be ready.
Do you accept returns?
Only in the case of damaged items.
As a small business selling handmade items, I'm not able to accept returns or exchanges, including "Ready To Ship" items and custom products.
I make every effort to share full details for each item in the listing description and photos so that you have an accurate representation of what you will be receiving. Unfortunately, I'm not able to refund an item because of failure to read the entire listing description or for not reviewing all photos before placing an order.
